  • Introduction

    There may be times when you want to stop your insulin pump and start it again. Like when you change a cartridge or go for a swim. There may also be times when you want to take the insulin pump off for short periods of time because it's in the way or you want to be discreet. No problem! Starting and stopping your insulin pump is quick and easy. Let's see how!

    If you wish to practice the steps in this next chapter, ensure that the tubing/line is NOT connected to your body.

    In STOP mode, your insulin pump is not delivering insulin. In RUN mode, your insulin pump is delivering insulin. This is the first screen you see when the insulin pump is in STOP mode. Let's see what happens next.

    In STOP mode, press Icon to move to the START YOUR pump screen.

    Press Icon. Your pump switches to RUN mode and starts insulin delivery. This is the first screen you see on the pump when in RUN mode.

  • Turning off the stop warning

    As long as your insulin pump is in STOP mode, it emits two short beeps and vibrates once every minute to remind you that no insulin is being delivered. To turn off the STOP warning, press either Icon or Icon on the insulin pump or Icon or Icon on the diabetes manager for 3 seconds. You then hear a melody and/or feel a vibration confirming that the STOP warning has been turned off.
