  • Introduction

If you were at the movies, you might want to turn the volume of your Accu-Chek Combo insulin delivery system signal settings down so as not to disturb those around you should an alarm go off. But if you were at a rock concert or in a noisy environment, you might need to increase the volume to hear any alerts or alarms. If you were in a crowd, you might want to make sure that the pump keys could not be pressed accidentally. Your Accu-Chek Combo insulin delivery system allows you to adjust these types of settings to suit your needs. Let's see how.

Excuse me! Is that you beeping...?

  • Turning keylock on or off

The Keylock function prevents you from turning on pump functions while you're sleeping, playing sports or at other times when you want the pump keys locked. This function is very useful for young children whose parents operate the pump for them.

The link between the diabetes manager and the pump will be lost if any key is pressed on the pump while it is unlocked. In other words, the diabetes manager and the pump will not be able to communicate to each other.

So, it is a good idea to turn on the Keylock on the pump to avoid any keys being pressed by mistake. Let's see how.
