Your Accu-Chek Combo insulin delivery system offers five different basal rate profiles to match your changing insulin needs. For example, you may work physically hard during the week and relax on weekends. You might want to sleep in later on the weekends. Your stress level may be lower on the weekends than it is during the week. All of these life changes may affect your basal insulin needs. This lesson shows you how to modify your basal rate settings.

If you decide to practice any functions on your own insulin pump or diabetes manager, make sure the infusion set is disconnected from your body that there is no chance of accidental insulin delivery.
