Your Accu-Chek Combo insulin delivery system allows you to match insulin delivery to your daily needs. For example, if you are losing weight, or travelling to countries with different food habits, the Accu-Check Combo insulin delivery system settings need to be changed to manage these types of situations. You can change the Accu-Chek Combo insulin delivery system settings you entered in the diabetes manager Set-up Wizard, Bolus Advice and for the Reminders. You can also change the volume of the diabetes manager Sound and the diabetes manager time and date if needed.

Here's how to access the Reminder settings if you wish to change them.
Mary is getting more comfortable with managing her insulin pump therapy using her pump and diabetes manager. Mary now wants to do a postmeal glucose test. Mary goes to the BG Test Reminders screen, selects BG Test Reminders and After Meal. In this screen Mary can set how long after a meal she wants to run the next BG Test.
These settings can be changed when you select "meter" from the menu.
Bill has started endurance sport for the first time. Having discussed his insulin needs with his doctor, he now wants to set the health events setting to match his needs when doing this sport. In this case Bill would go to the Bolus Advice screen, select health events and then Exercise (1 or 2). He would then program the insulin dose adjustment he and his healthcare team have agreed on in this case.

Click on your demo diabetes manager buttons to practice what you have just learnt. If you decide to practice any functions, on your own pump or diabetes manager, make sure the infusion set is disconnected from your body so that there is no chance of accidental insulin delivery. Ensure all your settings are put back to where they should be at the end of the practice.
